About Medihemp

Medihemp was founded in 2012 by two sisters, Andrea Bamacher and Elke Moritz. Their enthusiasm, expertise and commitment have made this a wonderful company that provides excellent CBD products. Medihemp pays particular attention to the biological aspects of the products. They call the hemp plant the oldest plant with a beneficial effect known to man – and they want to pass the baton. Very strict quality controls

This 10 ml CBD oil Raw with a CBD percentage of 10% (1000 mg CBD) is strictly controlled in various ways, in order to ensure that the procedure runs organically and sustainably. That starts with planting the CBD hemp seeds. First, harmful substances, or chemicals, are removed from the soil. Examples include herbicides and pesticides.

Medihemp uses a large piece of land at a lake in Austria, the Neusiedler Meer. On this land, in total about 200 hectares, they keep the hemp plants / CBD plants. Of course, these plants are organic. These plants are also certified according to European legislation. It can also be said that the cultivation of the plants is done with proportions that are exactly suitable. The percentage of CBD is high, the THC is filtered out – exactly the wish of the CBD user.

But there are more examples that Medihemp carries out the correct checks. For example, the company is under the supervision of various authorities in Austria for this purpose, including: the Austrian Food Safety Agency (AGES). And of course also bodies that monitor this at European level, including: the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). Medihemp itself carries out checks by taking samples from the ground and then analyzing them accurately.

From hemp plant to CBD product

The hemp plants that Medihemp has used for this CBD oil Raw (10 ml – 10%) are all neatly cared for in a nature-friendly way. And this is also just done by local CBD farmers. Organic CBD hemp farmers, that is. Because everything goes naturally, often nothing more than a little water is needed to guide this process. The rest is done by nature itself.

When the farmers have finished their work, Medihemp takes over the production process. The entire hemp plant is used. CBD products are made from the leaves and flowers (CBD oil, CBD ointment, CBD capsules, CBD paste, hemp tea, et cetera). Then there are the hemp seeds – these are used to produce hemp foods such as hemp seed oil.

They extract all important substances from the hemp plant via a supercritical CO2 extraction. In this way, a raw hemp oil extract remains in which nothing of the original plant has been lost. Then organic hemp seed oil is used to dilute the extract. And this ultimately creates the CBD oils and CBD capsules as the consumer can purchase.

Transparency CBD products

Because Medihemp wants to communicate how important the quality of their products is to them, they are very open about this. Reports are available for everyone to request that makes it clear that substances that are not really necessary are never used during production. In fact, anything that has no positive effect is simply removed. For example, there is simply no question of chemicals. And all products have the labels that prove that this is indeed the case, both at national and European level (AT-BIO-301).

As mentioned, the results of the quality studies are simply published, including on our website. All tests and analyzes are therefore easy to read for everyone. That says a lot about Medihemp's desire to be transparent.

Research and development 

Medihemp pays a lot of attention to research. Better ways are being sought to increase the bioavailability of the products. The bioavailability is the extent to which the CBD is absorbed by the body of a human or animal (for example dogs and cats). The higher the bioavailability, the better the CBD acts on the body. Because high bioavailability says a lot about the effect of the CBD product, according to Medihemp, they spend all the time and energy they have available on this. In doing so, the most important technological innovations are closely monitored, in case there are new techniques that they themselves see as suitable.

Medihemp does not conduct this type of research alone, but frequently collaborates with major institutes such as the International Institute of Cannabinoids, which is located in Slovenia. A good example of a result of this type of research is the following: in 2017, Medihemp was the very first company that succeeded in making a biological extract of cannabigerol (CBG oil). Hence the continuous development.
